Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts

A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.

Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.

His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in specific - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.

Currently working with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This marks the player's initial title since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt since spring of that year.

The win also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various events.

"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.

"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his last six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.

Medvedev's counter-punching play style and frequent reactions on court had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.

Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.

The champion came back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five points to go ahead.

The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first ATP Tour title, took control to create a decider.

He rescued 4 early-game break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to that score to serve for the match.

Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
