The star has handed over the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound award winnings to the MVT, which functions to save the United Kingdom's grassroots concert spaces.

"I personally would not have achieved my current career if it weren't for all the performances I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was starting out," said Fender. "These locations are renowned, but they are in difficulty."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these venues have shut down – roughly 16% of the total UK scene.
Recently, major artists such as the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all backed the MVT in its initiatives to help venues survive, by including a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which supports local stages.
Fender also took part, raising in excess of £100,000 on his live tour to support 38 grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The donation helped spaces that were facing imminent closure due to difficulties stemming from flooding, fires and bereavements, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and sound issues.
Additional spaces received funding support in modernizing facilities and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted artists and audiences.
